2011 Award Winners
Annual Member Awards By: Leslie Herndon, Greenscape, Inc.
One of the highlights of this year’s Member Appreciation Event was the Award Presentation. This is our opportunity to recognize the hard work and effort that members put into our chapter! Secretary Joey Adcock started off the presentation by asking those members who have been a part of the chapter for 5,10, and 15 years to stand and be recognized along with new members from 2011.
Then, Immediate Past President, Heather Denny came to the podium to recognize Rookie of the Year and Committee Member of the year. This year’s recipient of Rookie of the year jumped in with both feet first and gets the job done with a high level of involvement and a positive attitude. Congratulations to Connie Drake of Little, co-chair of the Communications Committee!
Our Committee Member of the year recipient has always gone above and beyond in her participation in the chapter and her positive and enthusiastic participation is contagious! She is also an expert “Cat Herder”! Congratulations to Linda Kops of Lan-Way Roofing Co, Inc. and co chair of the Community Outreach Committee.
President Craig Youst then presented our Sponsor of the Year award to Platinum member McDonald York. This supportive member has been a part of the chapter since 2006.
Next Craig announced the Associate of the Year. Todd Taintor of Enpuricon, Inc. has provided outstanding leadership as Chair of the Membership Committee and he and his committee have engineered the very well received After Hours Socials!
Lastly, we recognized our distinguished Professional Member of the Year, Joey Adcock of Cotton, Inc. Joey is currently serving as Chapter Secretary and has helped to unify our brand message, streamline and promote our chapter communications and always displays admirable energy for all things IFMA! Congratulations to all of this year’s recipients! Well deserved recognition!

To recognize the volunteer efforts of our Members and Company Supporters, the Greater Triangle Chapter presents annual awards to those who distinguish themselves by exceptional achievement, outstanding leadership and sustained support of the Greater Triangle Chapter and the Facilities Profession.
