May’s Monthly Meeting

Leadership

We are pleased to have Tim Parker speaking to our group. Tim has presented at WWP three times. He presented a similar topic at the NC American Society of Civil Engineers Conference (Greensboro); taught at Boston University for the master’s program overseas; and presented at many high level environments to include HQ NATO in Belgium.

Tim’s presentation will help us to understand the critical role of employee engagement in organizational success; understand the areas Facility Managers influence the attitudes of employees and customers; understand what leadership means and how it differs from management and understand behaviors that create positive work environments and encourages engagement.

The presentation allows the audience to realize the contribution of facility management to the organization, and therefore enable them to demonstrate/sell their value. This something Tim is very familiar with. With over 35 years of experience in facilities management leadership he offers important and beneficial insights on raising employee engagement to increase your effectiveness. His experience includes 24 years with the Air Force, 5 years with state government, and 7 years in the private sector. The largest organization led by Tim included 1200 persons on staff.

Tim earned an electrical engineering degree, and masters in business. He is currently working on his doctorate in business administration focused on organizational leadership. He offers practical advice on how you can raise the image and value of the facilities function in eyes of your organization based on his broad spectrum of organizations and education.”
