E-Newsletter – History

The first edition of our four page paper newsletter was created in October 1999 by the chapter president, Buck Fisher, of the newly resurrected chapter. Our Chapter President was also the one person publicity committee which is now our Communications Committee and consists of 10 members.

Fall of 2008 the development of online event registration system and email links were underway. The paper version of the newsletter was replaced with an exciting new cost effective and environmentally sustainable “E-Newsletter”.

Our efforts creating this E-Newsletter were rewarded by winning Chapter Award of Excellence 2009 for Newsletter from IFMA National. We were also honored by having our E-Newsletter highlighted as an example within IFMA National’s updated Chapter and Council Standards and Guidelines for which governs all associated chapters.

The Greater Triangle Chapter Monthly Newsletter is published on the first business day of each month and distributed to each member and other interested readers outside our organization electronically via e-mail.
