Past President

Sara Gilbert, IIDA joined the Chapter in 2001 and now serves as our Chapter Past President.  She has benefited through the knowledge shared by facility management professionals within the IFMA organization. Sara is a LEED®  AP  and NCIDQ certified Interior Designer with an Associate degree in Architectural Technology from Wake Tech. and a B.S. in Interior Design from Meredith College.  She is presently employed by Heery International working on various projects that span from Facility Master Plans, Space Planning, Facility Assessments, Equipment Planning and Logistics, and Move Management.  Sara is a native of the area, originally from Chapel Hill and enjoys spending time with her 7 year old daughter Allison, her husband of 23 years Johnny and their family dog Huey.
