Presidents Message

Happy Fall IFMA Family,

This is a great time of year as temperatures drop, leaves change color and HVAC systems get some respite!

This month we celebrate several great things in the chapter.

First Every-Ruby Level Sponsor!

I am happy to announce that we have our first ever Ruby Level Sponsor. A special thanks and shout out to Milliken and David Potter  for stepping in to support the chapter.  Please take a moment to thank David for introducing Milliken to the sponsorship fold.

World Work Place 2013

Philadelphia-watch out!  We have 38 members heading out to the conference.  We have some of our very own presenting: Mark Ellis on “Eliminating the Service Office Blind Spot” and Michael Schley on “Three Technology Trends that are changing facility management”.

Advocacy Day

The chapter has been committed to supporting this important initiative-Mike O’Brien was awarded the scholarship to represent the chapter in Washington DC.  Look for his update on what transpired and more.

October Monthly Meeting

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina encourages healthy lifestyles for employees and their families by fully integrating wellness programs with health insurance plans, offering accessible services, and creating a supportive environment.   Mike O’Connor, Director of Employee Benefits will present “Making the Case for Employee Wellness”.  The presentation will discuss what BCBSNC does to create an environment that supports and promotes the health of its employees!  Bring your HR representatives-there’s a special offer tied to this – look for details in “IFMAMichaelJ’s” email update on this.  Register!

Have a Question/s?

In the spirit of transparency, I would love to hear what’s top of your mind…what are your thoughts on what needs to be happening with the chapter.  What are we doing well?  What do we need to improve on?

Let me know!  Click here and leave me your thoughts and any questions or comments.  Be heard!!!

IFMA Foundations Scholarship Winners

We have two winners that we have sponsored and who’s scholarships we have funded!  Congratulations to Megan Doyle and Eric Brown.

We have a new Signup Genius – Help wanted posting!

We are trying to understand our memberships demographic distribution.  Check it out and let me know if you or your company can help the chapter out with this task!

So what is the value of IFMA?

Simple, it’s what you do with it and what you make of it!

Thanks for being involved and if you’re sitting on the fence, please join us at the next monthly meeting, networking afterhours event.  Have questions on why you should get involved?  Email me and I’ll be more than happy to speak with you anytime.
