Do you like to plan events??? Then this is the committee for you!
Due to the wonderful increase in our chapter membership, we have separated from the monthly programs committee in an effort to really focus on giving back to the chapter membership. Being on this committee is fun and rewarding at the same time. Best of all, you can help on all events, or just one or two, depending on the time you can give.
Committee Activities:
-IFMA’s involvement in the Annual TCAR Joint Networking event
Each year, a joint networking event is held in the triangle with all of the facility management related associations in the area. Our committee heads the Greater Triangle Chapter of IFMA’s involvement, which includes our table where we show the benefits of joining IFMA for yourself and company along with our educational options for advancing in the FM Field.
-Chapter Appreciation Event
Our Chapter holds an annual event to thank our membership for their time and service and our sponsors for making everything happen! We are lucky enough to be responsible for planning this event where we can show our membership how much they are appreciated and give them an opportunity to kick back and have a great night with each other. This event is held in November each year.
-Mega Networking Event
This year we will hold a mega networking event that will take the place of our smaller events that we have had in the fall and spring each year. We have combined these events in an effort to really make one event special for our chapter membership. This event will be held in late winter/early spring.
-Other Events
We are also involved in helping with the Chapter pre-welcome party at World Workplace and assisting Membership with their bi-monthly after hours socials.
-When/How often do we meet?
When: On the third Monday or Tuesday monthly and weekly as we approach the chapter appreciation and mega-networking event
Location: Various locations in RTP
Meeting Time: Usually 10-11am, occasional 4pm meeting if we need to see a venue
